Royal Family has congratulated Meghan on her 40th birthday.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have joined other members of the royal family to celebrate the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan as she turned 40 on Wednesday.
Prince William and his wife, the former Kate Middleton while sharing a photo of the former Meghan Markle in an Instagram story on their official account, wrote:
“Wishing a happy 40th birthday to the Duchess of Sussex!”
The official Instagram account of the royal family also marked the duchess’ special day with a collage of photos, including a picture of her and her husband Prince Harry with their son, Archie when he was a baby and another picture of her with the queen.
The caption read, “Wishing the Duchess of Sussex a very happy birthday today!”
Harry’s father – Charles, Prince of Wales, and his stepmother, Camilla – Duchess of Cornwall, also celebrated the Duchess’ birthday in an Instagram story from the Clarence House account.
Clarence House is named after their residence.
Meanwhile, reports of tension between Harry and Meghan and the rest of the royal family have persisted since they stepped back as senior members of the royal family in 2020 and started a new life in California.
The rumours of the rift intensified after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave an explosive, tell-all interview to Oprah Winfrey in March 2021.
In the interview, Harry hinted that while he loves his brother, they now “walk different paths.”
The Duke of Sussex told Winfrey, “The relationship is space … at the moment … Time heals all things, hopefully.”
Despite the family issues they might all be working through, William and Kate never stopped celebrating the milestones in the lives of Harry and Meghan publicly, including the birth of their daughter, Lilibet Diana, in June.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wrote in an Instagram post at the time,
“We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili.
“Congratulations to Harry, Meghan, and Archie.”
