PDP: Secondus Promises Not To Resign

National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prince Uche Secondus, has refused the calls for his resignation.

Gatekeepers News reports that Secondus said this in a terse press statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Ike Abonyi.

There is a crisis rocking the opposition party as political bigwigs in the party jostle for shares of its structure ahead of the 2023 polls.

During a meeting summoned by the Board of Trustees to find an amicable solution to the crisis rocking the party, there was a clash between Secondus, and the Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike.

The statement read, “The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has said that he will not resign his position.

Prince Secondus said that nothing so far warrants his resignation.

He promised to remain focussed and committed to the ideals of the party which he swore to protect and defend upon his election to lead this great party 44 months ago.
