Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has mourned the demise of Senator Biyi Durojaiye.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Governor of Ogun state, South West Nigeria, Dapo Abiodun has expressed grief over the death of the former Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC),leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Senator Biyi Durojaiye.
He died at the age of 88.
Gatekeepers News had earlier reported that Senator Durojaiye, a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, died in Lagos after a brief illness.
Abiodun in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, said the late Durojaiye was present during the stakeholders meeting for the APC Ward Congress in July.
He described him as a strong pillar of his administration.
Abiodun noted that the senator was a political giant whose politics was devoid of bitterness.

“He will be greatly missed in the political circle of not only Ogun State, but Nigeria.
“A good man, a patriot, who lived a good life, a life of commitment and decency has passed on,” he added.
Abiodun nnoted that the senator was a political giant whose politics was devoid of bitterness.
Abiodun while commiserating with the immediate family of the late Durojaiye, prayed to God Almighty to forgive his shortcomings and grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“Our dear Senator was a good man, a patriot, who lived a good life. May God grant you eternal rest Distinguished Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye,” Abiodun prayed.
