Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases have risen to 188,243 with 655 new infections.
Gatekeepers News reports that the new infections were reported on Tuesday from nine (9) States; Lagos-288, Rivers-188, Oyo-64, Akwa Ibom-31, FCT-28, Ekiti-21, Edo-17, Bayelsa-11 and Kaduna-7.
According to the NCDC, six (6) States; Nasarawa, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Plateau and Sokoto reported zero cases.
The report further disclosed that 217 COVID-19 patients recovered and have been discharged from various isolation centres in the country while five (5) persons died of complications.
Gatekeepers News reports that as of August 24, 2021, Nigeria has successfully managed 169,035 cases while 2,281 deaths have been recorded.
