COVID-19: NCDC Confirms 189,715 Summed Up Cases

Nigeria Centre for Diseases Control (NCDC) has recorded 835 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) infections across the country.

Gatekeepers News reports that NCDC made this known in its recent filing on Friday, August 20.

Rivers has a higher record of 263 cases, while Lagos had 217 new cases and Oyo 128.

Edo recorded 45 new cases, Kwara 42 FCT 37, Ekiti 35, Ogun 13, while Akwa Ibom and Imo recorded 11 each.

Meanwhile, Bayelsa comfirmed 10 cases, Plateau 7, Delta 4, Kaduna 3, while Benue, Niger and Sokoto recorded 2 each and Abia, Ebonyi and Nasarawa had 1 each.

Compilation of the newly infected cases showed that the country has summed up to a total number of 189,715 confirmed cases.

NCDC through its record highlighted that the total number of discharged cases was recorded to be 169,626.

The total number of death increased to be 2,298, revealing that 10 death case was recorded.
