Nigerian Government Condemns Coup D’etat In Guinea

Nigerian government has condemned the coup d’état that took place in the Republic of Guinea today, Sunday, September 5, 2021.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Nigerian Government says the coup d’état that took place in the Republic of Guinea today is a clear violation of the ECOWAS Protocol on Democracy and Good Governance.

The Federal Government of Nigeria condemned this act in a statement signed by the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esther Sunsuwa.

Sunswa said the Government of Nigeria strongly rejects any unconstitutional change of government.

The federal government, therefore, calls on those behind this coup to restore constitutional order without delay and protect all lives and property.
