Nigeria Records 379 New COVID-19 Cases

Nigeria has recorded 379 New COVID-19 cases.

Gatekeepers News reports that Nigeria has recorded 379 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, September 6, 2021, bringing the number of confirmed infections in the country to 195,890.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this in its daily report.

In the report, Lagos recorded the highest infections with 138 new cases, while Rivers followed with 44 cases, FCT – 26, Ekiti – 23, Oyo – 22, Akwa Ibom – 18, while Adamawa and Delta recorded 17 each.

Others include Anambra with 15 cases, Edo – 14, Ogun – 13, Bayelsa – 8, Niger – 7, Kwara – 6, Gombe – 5, Plateau – 4, while Kaduna and Kano recorded one infection each.

NCDC stated that today’s report includes: 3 deaths and 6 discharged cases for Lagos for September 5, 2021.

Since the outbreak on February 27, 2020, a total of 2,556 persons have lost their lives to the virus while 184,882 have recovered and have been discharged.
