Nigeria Records 601 New COVID-19 Cases

Nigeria has recorded 601 New COVID-19 cases.

Gatekeepers News reports that Nigeria has recorded 387 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, September 16, 2021, bringing the number of confirmed infections in the country to 200,957.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this in its daily report.

In the report, Lagos recorded 173, Edo-97, FCT-68, Rivers-50, Delta-45, Kaduna-28, Ondo-28, and Akwa Ibom-25.

Others include Bayelsa-16, Imo-16, Plateau-15, Anambra-12, Ekiti-11, Cross River-6, Oyo-6, Gombe-3, and Benue recorded 2 which was the lowest.

NCDC stated that this report includes, 25 cases reported for Akwa Ibom State for September 15 (13) and 16 (12) September; 28 cases reported from Kaduna State for September 15 (21) and 16 (7) September; and 38 recoveries reported from Kaduna State for September 15 (21) and 16 (17).

Since the outbreak on February 27, 2020, a total of 2,647 persons have lost their lives to the virus while 189,346 have recovered and have been discharged.
