1.) Job Title: Principal Engineer

Responsibilities;

  • This position is for a Principal Consultant – specialized in Power System Analysis and Planning with emphasis on Renewables.

The desired Consultant will be involved in:

  • Technical advisory services for projects under development, construction and operation may include but are not limited to technical due diligence, electrical network modelling and study, assessment of electrical system operation performances and project management.
  • Technical analysis and performance assessment of Renewable Energies
  • Identify and execute high-quality power energy solutions
  • Review customer specifications and support customers in the selection of grid connections and storage solutions for the application.
  • Support GE business initiatives related to the systems equipment and services of the business, and provide advisory services to our industry
  • Perform power system analysis including modelling, simulation, and evaluation of design alternatives
  • Lead the development/refinement of tools and techniques for power system simulation.
  • Identify and cultivate new customers and business opportunities. Develop projects with customers; manage contracts to ensure technical, schedule and cost objectives are met; actively participate in identifying and cultivating new customers and business opportunities; lead the preparation of proposals; and make customer presentations
  • Actively participate in strategic planning and development of GE product/service offerings and support New Product/Technology Introductions concurrent with GE business needs
  • Prepare and deliver technical reports, effectively communicate results to both internal and external customers by preparing written detailed and summary reports and making presentations describing analyses performed, solutions developed, and customer value propositions
  • Provide mentoring and help develop/train less experienced staff in a working environment where teamwork, quality, customer service and innovation are highly valued.
  • Actively participate in Industry forums to promote GE solutions and technology

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or College in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electric Power Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in engineering, electric system simulation and analysis, project management or a related function
  • Proficiency in key software analytical tools, e.g. PSS/E, PowerFactory, EMTP/ATP, PSCAD, PSLF, PVsyst, MATLAB, Python
  • Must be able to run these tools focused on interconnecting inverter-based technology to the grid.
  • Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 20% of the time, as required.
  • Languages: must have excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to write clear and detailed technical reports, presentations and emails in English.
  • Knowledge of other languages is preferred.

Desired:

  • MS or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical or Electric Power Engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of conventional power systems and equipment operation: generation, transmission, distribution and industrial
  • Solid knowledge of Wind or Solar PV projects, equipment and sensors including modules, inverters, trackers, BoP, solar stations and other components of the plant.
  • Experience may also include a working knowledge of Renewables related regulations, codes and standards (IEC and other relevant certifications in the Renewables industry)
  • Experience in power system operation and analysis: steady-state load flow studies, short circuit analysis, transient & dynamic stability analysis, protection coordination studies, earthing design and electromagnetic transient analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated capability to complete projects on time and on budget as either individual contributor or project manager
  • Proficiency with office productivity software e.g. MS Office, Visio, MS Project.
  • Ability to motivate and influence individuals and teams
  • Strong written and oral communication skills suitable for making presentations to internal and external business customers, and for supporting GE executive external communications, an additional Language (French, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese…) is preferred.
  • Industry involvement such as IEEE / CIGRE, ASME, AWEA, PE with published papers in one or more technical societies
  • Pending or awarded patents
  • Six Sigma training is preferred (GE only)

2.) Job Title: Contract Manager

Job Description

  • Contribute to key tenders in accordance with applicable policies to support, guide and challenge sales, tender, bid and project teams on defined contractual and commercial matters to ensure that all contracts are concluded with the aim to optimize the contract related risks and opportunities during execution.
  • Establish and implement project-specific commercial procedures regarding change order management, claims and dispute management and insurance recovery.
  • Liaise with project planners to confirm that contract program and subcontract schedules are set up and kept up to date, to support project claim strategy.
  • Effectively execute on Change Order management.
  • Preserve GE Grid Solutions’ rights and entitlements as provided in the contract.
  • Ensure notices are given in line with contract requirements.
  • Identify customer/consortium and other third-party obligations; develop and implement the project contract commercial plan and project claim strategy.
  • Support Sourcing in identifying flow-down requirements for subcontractors/suppliers to ensure there are no gaps between GE responsibilities and subcontractors/suppliers’ work and work with Sourcing to develop, publish and negotiate construction subcontract packages.
  • Manage the development and resolution of claims and disputes to/from customers, consortium partners and subcontractors.
  • Liaison with Legal when claims and disputes cannot be finalized amicably to work through legal options and working with outside expert consultants and counsel to facilitate resolution.
  • Report on project claims and Change Orders, as well as potentially critical contract issues to management and, as required, to project control, finance and audit staff.
  • Ensure compliance in approval of variation orders, amendments and settlements in accordance with the applicable delegation of authority.

3.) Job Title: Interventional Modality Sales Leader

  • Quote the product features and price according to key clients’ requests and technical requirements
  • Drive tender/bid process including the needs qualification, vendor selection, quotation and closure of their product/solution/service opportunities to meet orders, sales, and margin targets as well as to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Maintain up to date detailed knowledge of the product. Be able to present and discuss the technology and clinical benefits in terms that are relevant to customers
  • Provide market analysis in Saudi Arabia for marketing strategy and ensure implementation of the marketing strategy in Local Customer Team (LCT).
  • Conduct market, competitor, and win/loss analysis; provide feedback from the field for the purpose of Interventional product gaps analysis; participating in the price execution process
  • Provide support in reference sites management, manage customer calls/meetings
  • Provide promotion support of the product in Sub Sahara Africa (SSA) including, but not limited to coordinated marketing strategy, participation and organization of national/local conferences and symposia
  • Help with and develop a network of Local and National Key Opinion Leaders
  • Participate in the creation and realization of strategic projects and multi-modality solutions
  • Participate in LCT and modality operational mechanisms including, but not limited to deals analysis & reviews
  • Keep up to date data in CRM systems (SFDC, etc.).

Required Qualifications and Characteristics

  • Medical Degree or Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in a Technical / Clinical field
  • 5-10 years of work experience in an Interventional Imaging environment.
  • Confident use of MS Office (especially Excel and other data-based programs);
  • Excellent communication skills; Intermediate level English; Ability to deliver results in a tight schedule.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
  • Knowledge of the SSA Interventional dynamics, the Product portfolio for GE and other solution providers.
