Chukwuma Soludo, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has won the Anambra governorship election.
Gatekeepers News reports that Soludo was declared winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday morning.
The returning officer for the state, Florence Obi, said Soludo, former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), garnered total votes of 112,229 to defeat other contestants.
“Charles Chukwuma Soludo of APGA, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby declared the winner and returned elected,” Obi said.
Soludo won in 19 of the 21 LGAs in Anambra state, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won Ogbaru and Young Progressives Party (YPP) secured victory in Nnewi north.
