PDP national leaders hold closed-door meeting with former Governor of Abia State, Orji Kalu.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Nigeria’s Senate Chief Whip, Senator Orji Kalu, received newly elected officials of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in his Aso Rock, Abuja residence on thursday afternoon.
The team was led by the newly elected National Secretary of the Party, Senator Samuel Anyanwu alongside other newly elected officials of the party.
The officials arrived at the residence of the Senator at precisely 12.28pm.
The visit comes amidst strong talks that Kalu was being positioned for the 2023 presidency to succeed the President Muhammadu Buhari.
Kalu, who was a founding member of the PDP, formally joined the ruling All Progressives Congress, In 2016.
He contested and won the 2019 Senatorial election.
