Nigeria’s representative, Mariestella Okpala won the Best National Costume at the just-concluded Miss Universe pageant in Eliat, Isreal.
Gatekeepers News reports Okpala’s costume which was inspired by the ‘Mmanwa’ masquerade from Southeastern Nigeria, was designed by Filipino designer, Kennedy Jhon Gasper.
