‘I Will Pay Over $11bn In Taxes This Year’ – Elon Musk

Tesla CEO, Elon Musk says he will pay over  $11 billion in taxes this year.

Gatekeepers News reports that Musk, the world’s richest person, on Twitter said: “For those wondering, I will pay over $11 billion in taxes this year,” with giving further details.

Musk comments came in response to remarks from Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who sparred with the Democratic Senator after she tweeted earlier this month that Musk and other billionaire CEOs aren’t paying their fair share of taxes.

“Let’s change the rigged tax code so The Person of the Year will actually pay taxes and stop freeloading off everyone else,” Warren tweeted, referring to Musk, who was recently named Time magazine’s person of the year.

“Stop projecting!” Musk fired back, also telling the Massachusetts senator, “You remind me of when I was a kid and my friend’s angry Mom would just randomly yell at everyone for no reason.”

Musk, who’s net worth was $265.4billion as of Monday, recently launched a Twitter poll asking people whether he should sell 10 percent of his Tesla holdings, which voters supported.

He continued to shoot back at the Democrat senator, tweeting that beyond being named person of the year he’ll also take the top prize for highest American taxpayer.

Last month, Musk taunted Sen. Bernie Sanders who called on the nation’s ‘extremely wealthy’ to pony up more cash in a tweet, drawing the attention of Musk, who had sold more than $5billion of his Tesla stake.

Musk, responding to Sanders’ demands, indicated he wouldn’t draw the line there.

“I keep forgetting that you’re still alive,’ Musk, the world’s richest man, tweeted at the senator.

“Want me to sell more stock, Bernie? Just say the word…”

Gatekeepers News reports that the majority of Musk’s wealth is tied up in Tesla and his rocket company, SpaceX.
