Gatekeepers News reports that Nigeria has recorded 1368 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, December 20, 2021, bringing the number of confirmed infections in the country to 225,255.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this in its daily report.
In today’s report, Lagos recorded the highest – 844, FCT followed with 209 new cases. Others include: Oyo-58, Abia-51, Ondo-39, Ogun-30, Kaduna-26, Delta-20, Akwa Ibom-17, Osun-15, and Ekiti-12
On the other hand, Anambra, and Zamfara recorded 7 each, while Cross River, Kano, Kwara, and Rivers recorded 6 each.
Meanwhile, Bauchi recorded 5, Gombe-3, and Plateau with the lowest – 1.
According to NCDC, today’s report includes:
“7 confirmed cases reported from Anambra state for the 19th December 2021.
“26 confirmed cases reported from Kaduna state for the 19th (10) & 20th (16) December 2021.
“11 discharged cases reported from Anambra state for 19th December 2021.
“13 Discharged cases reported from FCT for 20th December 2021”
Since the outbreak on February 27, 2020, a total of 2,985 persons have lost their lives to the virus while 211,660 have recovered and have been discharged.
