COVID-19: Liverpool Resume Training Ahead Of Shrewsbury Face-Off

Liverpool FC have resumed training ahead of their FA Cup Shrewsbury Town’s face-off.

Gatekeepers News reports that Liverpool FC on Friday, confirmed that their first-team facilities at AXA Training Centre have now reopened.

The Club’s senior training environment in Kirkby was temporarily closed for a 48-hour period following a significant number of suspected positive COVID-19 test results among the playing squad and staff.

This led to the postponement of the Reds’ Carabao Cup semi-final away leg against Arsenal which was earlier scheduled for Thursday. However, the game has been rearranged for January 20.

Liverpool in a statement announced that the reopened for training after consultation with the relevant Public Health authority.

The Reds will be hosting Shrewsbury at their Anfield stadium in the Emirates FA Cup third round on Sunday.
