Nigeria has recorded 537 New Covid-19 cases and 6 deaths as infection hits 248312.
Gatekeepers News reports that the confirmed cases of Covid-19 has increased to 248312 as 537 new cases and 6 deaths were recorded in Nigeria on Sunday, 9th of January 2022.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Coronavirus, said 218997 cases have been discharged and 3077 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of the country.
According to NCDC, the new cases are reported from 8 states, with Rivers State, Southern Nigeria, having the highest with 313 new cases.
In further report from NCDC, Lagos had 178, FCT (19), Kaduna (11), Gombe (6), Ogun (6), Ekiti (3) and Abia (1).
Meanwhile, a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
