Gatekeepers News reports that NANS affirmed that all is set for competition which is hosted through a collaborative effort with Senator Barau Jibrin Maliya, representing Kano North.
The disclosure was made by the National Director of Sports of NANS, Comr Mardiya Na’Allah
During a press briefing in Kano with copies of the text made available to Journalists in Bauchi on Friday, Na’Allah commended the Senator for the love and concern he showed to Nigerian students.
She stated that, “he is indeed a leader and a mentor, one of our greatest philanthropists and Icon of hope to Nigerian Students. What he is supporting us to do will promote unity and peace among the students in Kano state”.
The NANS Director of Sports explained that the tournament shall cut across the tertiary institutions in Kano state as the schools shall be competing for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes.
She pointed out that the 1st prize is a saloon Car, 2nd prize is two motorcycles while the 3rd prize shall be one motorcycle.
According to her, the tournament shall be declared open on 15 January 2022 at Bayero University, Kano football pitch by the Senator calling on the students to turnout for the opening ceremony.
The National Director of sports also said that, “we shall continue to unite Nigerians Students for Nation building, peace and progress of our dear country Nigeria” .
“We always Appreciate the kind gesture and the exemplary leadership of Senator Barua Malaliya the man that has the Youths And the country at heart, a pilar of success and development”, She added.
NaAllah concluded that The Nigerian students need leaders who will always support and encourage them, leaders that sacrifice their time and resources towards empowerment and education development.
