President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday led Nigerians in honouring the memory of fallen heroes during the 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day in Abuja.

Gatekeepers News reports that the activities started October 28, 2021, when Buhari launched the remembrance emblem at the Presidential villa, Abuja.

The Saturday’s ceremony took place at the National Arcade, opposite the Eagle Square in the Three Arms Zone.

Buhari inspected a Guard of Honour, mounted by detachments of the Nigerian Army, the Navy, the Air Force and the Nigerian Legion.

He also laid a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier as a mark of last respect to the fallen heroes who paid the supreme price to keep global peace and the nation’s territorial integrity.

Others who laid wreaths were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Senate President Ahmad Lawan and Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila.
