Analysis and Evidence Field Officer
Education and Experience Required
- University degree in Information Technology, computer science, statistics, development studies, sociology, development economics, financial auditing, programme management, or similar field
- Ability to analyze and interpret data using data analytical platforms (SPSS, STATA, DATA HERO, MS EXCEL, STATISTIX
etc)
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in a similar position
- Good understanding and knowledge of humanitarian issues and current events in Nigeria
- Proficient knowledge and skills in project cycle management
- Experience using online dashboards for data analysis and prior experience working with technology for humanitarian organisations is desirable

Protection Field Officer, Mubi
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Contributes to the implementation of Protection strategies in the AoR (with a focus on the Protection of the civilian population, addressing sexual violence, child protection, IDPs, Protection of family links, etc.)
- Contributes to the identification and documentation of protection concerns and trends and their humanitarian consequences for the civilian population.
- Contributing to the Sub delegation (SD)’s security understanding and management in the AoR.
- S/he contributes to the analysis of the security, socio-economic, cultural, and political environment in the AoR.
- Maintains and develops an adequate network with all relevant stakeholders in order to have a good analysis of the situation (Protection) and updated information relevant for ICRC objectives.
- Participates in field missions (within multi-disciplinary teams).
- Contributes to the design and implementation of projects including identification of protection hotspots, mapping, and follow-up with communities.
- Supports other activities when relevant (including Economic Security, Water and Habitat and Health departments) and contributes to their reporting with Protection insights and analysis.
- Contributes to timely reports (Weekly sitreps, monthly reports, etc.) as directed by his/her line manager.
- Collaborates with the Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) division in their AoR.
- Carries out dissemination on ICRC activities to audiences and interlocutors thus contributing to further positioning and acceptance of the ICRC in the AoR.
- Supports ICRC staff members during field visits by ensuring translation during interactions with beneficiaries when needed.
- University degree in international relations, social sciences, law, or another related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of working experience with a humanitarian organization and/or NGO/CSO.
- Good knowledge of the political, security, and socio-cultural dynamics of Adamawa and/or the North East of Nigeria in general.
- Good communication skills with excellent knowledge of written and oral English and very good reporting skills (writing reports). Fluency in Hausa is required. Knowledge of other local languages will be considered an asset.
