Kano APC Factions Hold Reconciliatory Meeting

The factions of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kano State, North West Nigeria has held a reconciliatory meeting in Abuja.

Gatekeepers News reports that the meeting which was at the instance of the chairman of the caretaker/extraordinary convention planning committee (CECPC), Mai Mala-Buni lasted for about six hours.

The meeting was attended by Senator Ibrahim Shekarau and Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje.

Gatekeepers News had earlier reported that Mai Mala Buni inaugurated the state chairpersons, excluding those of Kano and Sokoto.

Mai Mala-Buni was represented by the secretary of the committee, John Akpanudoedehe.

The development comes on the heels of the party’s national convention scheduled for February 26.

The party didn’t state exact reasons for excluding Sokoto and Kano, but sources said it’s not unconnected to the lingering crisis that engulfed the state chapter of the party.
