JUST IN: Mane Claims AFCON 2021 Championship For Senegal

Sadio Mané has claimed AFCON 2021 Championship for his country, Senegal.

Gatekeepers News reports that, after a two-hour intense football match, Mane netted the winning penalty kick to claim Senegal’s first Africa Cup of Nations.

The 2019 runners-up, who were beaten by Algeria, fought tooth and nail to take the cup home on Sunday night.

The Senegalese cut the Egyptians hope of winning the title for the eighth time as they have not won it since 2010, although they finished second in 2017.

Many would acknowledge that the victory was well deserving for the Senegalese coach, Aliou Cisse who as an African manager stayed consistent and dedicated to his roles for 8 years on the job.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s Édouard Mendy who just added another trophy to his was named the best goalkeeper of the tournament.

However, as Mane celebrated his victory and was named the best player of the tournament, his Liverpool counterpart, Mo Sallah ended the tournament in disappointment.

Mane, therefore, made sure to console his club teammate.
