Senate Raises 2024 FCT Budget By N135bn

The Nigerian Senate has rejected a bill seeking to alter the constitution to legalise Virtual Court Proceedings.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Senate rejected the clause during the constitution amendment plenary session.

This bill will allow court or tribunal proceedings to be conducted remotely, online or through any media platform of technological innovations.

The legislation seeks to amend section 36 of the Constitution to allow for these provisions.

This bill was rejected.
