2023: Nigerians Need Somebody With Clean Hands – Presidential Aspirant

Hilda Baci's Feat Proves Nigerian Youths Are Not Lazy - Nicolas Felix
Nigerians need a politician with clean hands to deliver the change they are yearning for in the country, presidential aspirant Nicolas Felix has said.

Gatekeepers News reports that Felix, who has declared his intention to join the 2023 Presidential race, had contested for the 2019 presidential election under the Peoples Coalition Party. He came third after Muhammadu Buhari and Atiku Abubakar.

“Politics was never in my blood, but I realised I have to join the race to stop the complaints about Nigeria. I was told that politics is dirty, but my ideology is that you need somebody with clean hands to change it. If you expect those that got the place filthy to clean it up, then you are making a big mistake,” he said at a press briefing in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria.

According to him, one of his major reasons for joining the presidential race is to change the narratives of insecurity that has been plaguing the country and hindering economic growth.

The presidential aspirant stressed his mission to fix the nation’s security challenge and protect the lives and properties of citizens.

“My main agenda is the protection of the citizens and their properties. As of today in Nigeria, security is a mess. The nation is not safe. That is why the number one issue on my agenda is security. Until Nigeria is safe, we cannot witness economic growth.

He also hinted at his plans to set up innovative policies that would minimize the crime rate in the country if he emerges the president in 2023.

“We have to equip our police officers. Before we crucify the officers, we must upgrade their standard of living. We must increase their salary, give them sophisticated weapons, vehicles and recruit more hands.”
