Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has shifted its national executive committee (NEC) meeting earlier scheduled for May 5 to May 10.
Gatekeepers News reports that this in a statement by the party’s national secretary Samuel Anyanwu.
The party said the earlier date clashed with the local government delegate elections, involving all party members.
Anyanwu said the meeting was scheduled to take place at the national secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.
The issue of zoning its 2023 presidential ticket will be discussed at the meeting.
The PDP national working committee (NWC) also rescheduled the screening appeal for governorship and presidential hopefuls from May 3 to May 4.
The party, in a separate statement by its national publicity secretary, Debo Ologunagba, said the adjustment in date was occasioned by the Eid-Fitir celebrations.
“The NWC apologises for any inconveniences this change in date might have caused,” Ologunagba said
He added that “all inconveniences were regretted”.
