No fewer than fifteen people have been reported dead after a boat they were travelling in capsized in Mai’adua LGA of Katsina State.
Gatekeepers News reports that the incident happened on Wednesday and the victims have been buried on Thursday morning.
Although, it is not immediately clear if there were more victims on board the ill-fated boat.
Katsina Commissioner for Local Government and Emirates, Yau Gwajo-Gwajo was present at the funeral.
The commissioner, who offered condolences to the community, prayed for God to grant repose to the souls of the deceased.
He also presented relief materials to the family members of the deceased.
