I Am Not Ashamed I Can’t Have Children – Nse Ikpe-Etim

Actress Nse Ikpe-Etim has said she is not ashamed of not being able to have children of her own.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Nollywood star said she rather felt inadequate after discovering she can’t give birth to children.

Nse Ikpe-Etim revealed this in her interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo on his show #WithChude.

The movie star who is 47, said she was not ashamed about not being able to have kids of her own.

The award-winning actress said, “I didn’t feel shame but inadequacy, I felt inadequate as a woman because every time it was mentioned I would remember. So that’s what it was.

“Shame, I’m not ashamed. The least that I would be but I’m thankful for how I was brought up, we don’t tie shame to ourselves. We live through life fully and that’s how it is.”

While speaking of how supportive her husband has been said, “My husband had stood by me through all of this because that’s the way it’s supposed to be when people say oh we need to really be thankful for. What really happened?? This is us, you walk in there as if it’s a partnership, what comes good, bad, ugly, it’s us just let it be.”

Asked if she’s open to adoption, Nse Ikpe-Etim said, “You never say never, but right now Clifford and I are dog parents. People should be allowed to live, what else? We are okay! And nothing defines you, not one thing defines you,” she said.

In 2013, Ike-Etim got married to her hubby Clifford Sule. She later revealed her inability to conceive children in 2019.

According to her, her womb was removed because she was diagnosed with Adenomyosis, a condition whereby the inner lining of the uterus breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus.
