Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Smart Adeyemi, has lost the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary election.
Gatekeepers News reports that Adeyemi, a three-time Senator, polled 43 votes, and lost to Sunday Karimi who garnered 288 votes.
The primary election was held on Saturday in Kabba.
Karimi, who is now the party’s flagbearer, represented Yagba Federal Constituency between 2011 to 2016 in the House of Representatives.
