NLO 3 Playoff: Daniel FC Light Up Lafia

High-flying Nationwide League 3 side, Daniel FC of Gwagwalada, Abuja, has become the talk of the town in Lafia, Nasarawa State in the ongoing playoff in the North-central state.

Gatekeepers News reports that the team, which just newly acquired the NLO division 3 slot, endeared themselves in the heart of the fans, due to their delectable, free-flowing brand of football that wowed everyone.

In a pulsating game, Wednesday morning, July 20, 2022, at the Lafia University Sports complex against Sharp Shooters FC of Benue, Daniel FC outplayed, outclassed and dominated the match from the blast of the referee’s whistle to the end of the match, winning 2-1 in an end-to-end encounter.

The fascinating thing about the team’s display according to one of the fans is the fact that they are young and put the ball on the ground even when under pressure.

“I’m very impressed with the mouth-watering performance put up here by Daniel FC, says Habeeb Mohammed, a football enthusiast.

“The interesting thing is that the boys are very young and keep the ball on the ground, unlike many teams I have seen here.

“The future is indeed very bright for them if they can be kept together and nurtured,” he said.

An obviously excited Chairman of the club, Daniel Felix, who spoke to us, showered encomiums on the players for a job well done, while also revealing some of his plans for the team.

“I’m really excited by the performance of the boys in Lafia,” he begins.

“This has even boosted my resolve and determination to continue to do more in my quest to empower more Gwagwalada youths by giving them a better life through football,” he concluded.
