Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar has finally met with Governor of Rivers State, Southern Nigeria, Nyesom Wike.
Gatekeepers News reports that the meeting took place in London on Thursday.
Details of the meeting between the two PDP leaders were not disclosed but this medium gathered that it centered around reconciliation and the need to move the party forward.
Those present at the meeting asides from Atiku and Wike were Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, and his Benue State counterpart, Samuel Ortom.
Wike had lost the party’s presidential primaries to Atiku in May and was also passed over for the position of Vice Presidential candidate.
The Rivers Governor has accused Atiku of cooking up lies to tarnish his image and, although he has vowed to remain in the PDP, he has been seen meeting with politicians from the All Progressives Congress and the Labour Party.
