I Remain ADC Presidential Candidate – Kachikwu Rejects Suspension

Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dumebi Kachikwu, has insisted that he remains the party’s candidate for the 2023 election.

Gatekeepers News reports that the party’s Deputy National Chairman, Bamidele Ajadi on Saturday, announced Kachikwu’s suspension and accused him of making “defamatory” statements that contravene the values of the ADC. Ajadi also accused him of other anti-party activities.

Kachikwu, while reacting in a statement made available by the the Spokesman for his campaign organization, Adeniyi Kunnu, insisted that his mandate, as the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, stands.

He wrote: “The stories emerging with regard to the suspension of His Excellency Dumebi Kachikwu of the African Democratic Congress must be taken as the most fickle motivations of delirious minds, whose desperation could best be described as one from the chambers of Ahitophel.

It must be made loud and roundly clear to every reader here, that on the emergence of Mr Kachikwu as the ADC candidate in the Abeokuta primaries of June, 2022, INEC immediately validated the processes resulting in his emergence and thus uploaded his name on their portal as the valid flag bearer of the party come February 2023.

It comes therefore as most simplistic and laughable poor intellection, that a certain crop of persons, under their ill-informed legal representation could make a poor showing of their ignorance in public space.

The rifts that are evidently needless and of no concrete consequence must be trashed and discarded far from the focus-driven aspirations of His Excellency. The era where party leadership sets off on a journey of subterfuge, in which a major candidate is stifled for deciding on a path that is most ideal and of interest to all cannot be allowed a wink of countenance.

The charade of the kangaroo parley, which led to a skewed and unfounded process of suspension without recourse to what has been validated by the electoral umpire called INEC is most mischievous and unarguably shallow.

His Excellency Dumebi Kachikwu is unshaken as he toes the prerequisites of the guiding principles of the ADC rule book, even as he is equally assuring all ADC candidates across the country that everyone should ensure, that this path of equity and fairness.is an ingredient of momentum for their campaigns.

The era of party monarchy already has its coffin nailed and buried, because the Rescue Mission 2023 mandate of Dumebi Kachikwu has done away with every debris which hitherto had prevented the fertile soil of functional representation within the rank and file of the ADC.

Nigerians are by this assured, that the ship for the number one seat is still on course, sailing smoothly on its oceans of calm and peace, whilst every support for the cause must be in ascension as His Excellency, Dumebi Kachikwu is the birth of a dream that nobody from wherever could derail or deny.”
