Freedom Is Priceless – Ice Prince Speaks After Release From Prison

Nigerian Rapper, Ice Prince Zamani has tweeted for the first time since his release from the Ikoyi Correctional Facility in Lagos for allegedly assaulting a police officer.

Gatekeepers News reports that artiste Ice Prince, was arrested by the Lagos Police Command on September 2 for allegedly abducting and threatening to throw an undisclosed officer into the river.

Ice Prince Zamani whose real name is Panshak Zamani, is standing trial on a three-count charge bordering on assault, obstructing a policeman from carrying out its statutory duties, and abduction.

The 35-year-old rapper was granted bail for the sum of N500,000 and was asked to provide sureties in a court sitting on September 8 — after spending about six nights in prison.

The ‘Oleku’ singer who had not made any comment on the matter since his release from prison, took to his Twitter page to acknowledge the significance of freedom in a short post.

The rapper’s trial was initially to start on September 7 at the magistrate court sitting in the Ajah area of Lagos, but the case was adjourned till October 24 after the prosecution counsel said his witness did not show up.
