Kogi Govt Congratulates Dembos On Appointment As NTA DG

Kogi State Government has congratulated Salihu Dembos on his appointment as the Director General of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA).

Gatekeepers News reports that Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed on Wednesday announced that President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Dembos as NTA DG for a tenure of three years in the first instance.

In a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, the Kogi State Government described Dembos as “the man to lead NTA into the digital era”.

He said the newly appointed Director General of the Authority is “equipped with the requisite professional and managerial acumen to drive the organisation forward” , assuring Mr Dembos of the readiness of the State Government to foster “robust partnership with the NTA”.

“It is not in doubt that NTA has the reach to market our nation’s culture and potential, opening her to economic prosperity and greatness. With Mr Dembos’ appointment, the President has once again demonstrated his commitment to putting round pegs in round holes to move our nation forward.

“Mr Dembos is an excellent manager of men and resources, an astute broadcast professional who has always been a part of the evolution of the NTA. He has all that is required to move the Authority forward”.

Fanwo charged the NTA to live up to her potential, expressing confidence in the capacity of the new DG to make NTA “a TV station of choice”.
