President Muhammadu Buhari has conferred the National Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS) on former President Goodluck Jonathan and forty-two others.
Gatekeepers News reports that the award recognises innovation, leadership and other exceptional achievements of individuals that have contributed immensely to the growth and development of Public Service and the country at large.
Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola; Minister of of Aviation, Hadi Siriki; Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele; Minister of Communications & Digital Economy. Isa Pantami; Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; and Buba Marwa, chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) were awarded.
Others are Senate President Ahmad Lawan; Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the house of representatives, and the service chiefs.
Some of the governors also awarded include Nyesom Wike (Rivers); Yahaya Bello (Kogi); Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi); Dapo Abiodun (Ogun); Dave Umahi (Ebonyi); Babagana Zulum (Borno)and Bala Mohammed (Bauchi).
