Ayo Fayose, former governor of Ekiti state, has advised the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to settle all internal crises before things get “messier”.

Gatekeepers News reports that Fayose, in a Twitter post on Sunday, stressed that it is important that PDP resolves its internal crisis or risk another “serious turbulence”.

“I see more serious turbulence for PDP more than ever before. I have been silent all this while hoping that things will get better. I advise we do more than we are doing now to resolve this crisis as events in days/weeks ahead may likely get messier. I pray this advice is not ignored,” Fayose said.

Gatekeepers News reports that PDP has been faced with an internal crisis after Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and some Governors in his camp demanded the resignation of the Party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu who has insisted that he will complete his tenure.

Fayose had in September, urged allies of the PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar to do the “needful” to ensure he wins the presidential election.

“For me, I want to believe his excellency, Atiku Abubakar, is not against you, but let me say this quickly. A lot of people surrounding the throne are enemies of the throne, and a lot of people surrounding the throne have an issue to grind with somebody or some issues with somebody and they take it to where they are not supposed to take it,” he had said.

“There is no living being within this party and outside this party that will not acknowledge your contribution to this party. You are the soul of this party even now. What you do, how many people do it?
