Again Brisk Capital MD Dominic Joshua Arraigned For Fraud 

Economic and Financial Crime Commission has once again arrested Brisk Capital MD, Dominic Ngene Joshua over an alleged fraudulent scheme.

There is a saying that a snake will always be a snake, no matter how many chances you give it, it will never change, this could be likened to the story of Dominic Joshua.

Gatekeepers News reports that Joshua was arrested in May 2021 by the Police for the alleged diversion of investors’ funds worth over N2 billion. He was subsequently charged to court and granted bail in early 2022.

In the same year of his bail release, he was arrested over another alleged fraudulent scheme.

Dominic Ngene Joshua is the Managing Director of Brisk Capital Limited. The 21 year-old hails from Ebonyi State and is a self-proclaimed investment expert.

Joshua lured his victims on Social media platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook with claims of being a reputable financial investor for companies and urged victims to invest in Bitcoin, Forex trading real estate, oil and gas with a 60% ROI per month including guarantee of the invested capital.

Joshua was subsequently arraigned before the Federal High Court, Ikoyi unit on a 14-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretense.

In March 2022, the court granted an order of interim forfeiture of the 14 landed properties linked to Joshua following an ex-parte motion filed by the police and then granted bail.

November 2, 2022, The Brisk Capital Limited MD was arrested alongside Abdumalik Salau Femi and Ismaila Yusuf Atumeyi, a candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) for the Kogi state assembly.

The sums of N326 million and $610,500 were recovered in cash from the suspects by the EFCC.

Spokesperson of the Police Special Fraud Unit, Eyitayo Johnson said the fresh controversy surrounding Joshua regarding the bank hack is not within the purview of the police.

The spokesperson however confirmed that Joshua’s 2021 trial is still ongoing at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos.
