Tinubu’s Victory Is A Done Deal — Dapo Abiodun

Ogun State Governor, South-West Nigeria, Dapo Abiodun, says the victory of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a done deal.

Gatekeepers News reports that Abiodun said this when he led a solidarity walk for Tinubu’s victory in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Senator Olamilekan Adeola (Lagos West); Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade, former Chief Staff to governor Abiodun Shuaib Salisu also join the Tinubu’s walk as well as Abiodun’s re-election bid, in the 2023 general elections.

The walk, comprising party faithful from the 20 local government areas, transport unions, as well as interest and support groups, started from the MKO Abiola stadium in Kuto, through Isabo, Nawarudeen, Ijaye, Abiola way before terminating at the NNPC junction on IBB Boulevard, Magbon.

The crowd chanted solidarity songs for the APC, Tinubu, Abiodun and other party candidates.

Abiodun said the walk and support attests to the fact that Tinubu remained the people’s choice. He was confident Tinubu’s election was a done deal.

“This massive crowd is a sign to scare any opposition. The walk was planned just yesterday and it is intimidating. It is a show of love that you support Tinubu and Abiodun’s election victory in 2023.

“We are still going to hold a rally at the stadium and by February we cast our votes for all APC candidates.”

Abiodun, however, appealed to those yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to do so before the election.

Chairman of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) Alhaji Titilayo Akibu said the walk was significant to them as it shows that Tinubu remains the choice of Ogun people in 2023. He also restated the union’s support for Abiodun’s re-election, saying the state had witnessed economic transformation in the last 42 months under Abiodun.

Chairman of Riders and Owners of Motorcycle Organisation (ROMO) Alhaji Rasak Shotayo said Abiodun had performed well and deserved a second term.

Shotayo also noted that Tinubu remained the best candidate for president in 2023, saying his members vote for Abiodun and Tinubu.
