Speaker of the Lagos State, House of Assembly, South West Nigeria, Mudashiru Obasa has been conferred as the Bamofin of Lagos by Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu.
Gatekeepers News reports that Akiolu said the title is well deserved, especially as the Speaker celebrates his 50th birthday.
He described the occasion as apt and well thought through.
“If you watch the life and activities of Chief Muddashiru Obasa, you will know that he is calm, cool and very productive, but you have to be very close to him before you know him very well, and that is why I advise him.
“By May 24, 2023, I will be 20 years on this throne, but you cannot count up to 10 honorary chieftaincies that I have awarded because with God guidance, I’m a very careful somebody and I don’t take nonsense. I don’t hesitate to tell anybody the truth.”

Responding, Obasa noted that the title conferred on him will encourage him to keep doing ‘a good job for the people of Lagos and Nigerians in general.
He expressed confidence that the people of Lagos will deliver votes for all APC candidates in the 2023 elections, while promising that the party will continue what is necessary to attain the vision of making the country great.
