World Cup Round-Up: Ghana Snatch Victory From South Korea To Get 3 Points

Ghana have secured their first win at the Qatar 2022 World Cup Campaign after defeating South Korea 3-2 in their Group H encounter.

Gatekeepers News reports that a brace from Mohammed Kudus secured a beautiful comeback for the West African country at the Education City stadium on Monday.

Mohammed Salisu gave Ghana the lead at the 24th minute before Kudus finally took centre stage with a brace as the Black Stars became the first nation to score and concede at least five goals in a World Cup in 40 years.

The Ghanaians who earlier lost their opener match to Portugal have now scored in seven consecutive World Cup matches.

With three points from two matches, Ghana will have to work harder to secure a victory over Uruguay in their final group match to secure a place in the knockout phase.

Earlier in the day, Indomitable Lions of Cameroon roared back from two goals down to share the spoils against Serbia in a 3-3 classic.

Jean-Charles Castelletto gave Cameroon the lead before goals from Strahinja Pavlovic, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Aleksandar Mitrovic threatened to send Cameroon packing from Qatar.

Rigobert Song’s side however hung on for a point with well-taken goals from Vincent Aboubakar and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. They have all to play for when they meet Brazil, five-time World Cup champions, in their final group match on Friday.
