1.) Research Associate (Agronomy)
Location: Plateau
Description
- The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture on behalf of CIP seeks a suitable Nigerian for the position below at the CIP project location in Jos.
- NPSSP aims to support potato seed security in Nigeria by building local capacity within the public and private sectors to supply adequate amounts of quality seed of in-demand and locally adapted varieties that meet the main market segment while supporting smallholder farmers in maximizing their investments in seed through building capacity in on-farm seed quality management, good agricultural practices for improving soil health and fertility.

2.) Driver
Location: Oyo
Duties.
- Drive IITA vehicles within and outside Abuja.
- Convey Scientists to field trips within Abuja and other states.
- Ensure all project vehicles are well-maintained and clean.
- Ensure that vehicle documents are up to date.
- Fill the vehicle logbook in a coherent manner.
- Perform any other job-related task as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

3.) Project Team Lead
Location: Kano
Duties
- Develop an understanding of the ecosystem of market actors in the target value chains.
- Deepen project strategies were needed to deliver on climate resilience, nutrition, and inclusion-related objectives.
- Support strategic partnership identification and development.
- Detail activities to scale up interventions and enable the team and external stakeholders to deliver a robust work plan to achieve key project targets and results.
- Track activities with lead firms, aggregators, strategic partners, and public sector collaborators.
- Provide technical inputs to state teams and business development managers to deliver robust seed and grain systems-related deliverables for the program.
- Drive the sustainable intensification approach to enable resilience and optimal natural resource use by farmers.
- Ensure delivery and embedding of high-quality technical assistance to delivery partners.
- Guide the development of sustainable business models for private sector-led scaling of key project activities.
- Build strong collaboration framework with state and federal ministries of agriculture and environment.
- Ensure integration of vulnerable segments such as women and IDPs in relevant aspects of programming.

4.) Field Worker III
Location: Oyo
Duties
- Assist in the implementation of all post-harvest operations under the supervision of the post-harvest supervisors and line breeder.
- Assist in receiving, sorting, and recording samples received from field trials.
- Assist in data collection on cassava roots.
- Assist in processing cassava roots into designated food products (mainly gari, starch, and odourless fufu).
- Assist in the determination of dry matter and starch content.
- Perform any other job-related tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.

5.) Database Officer
Location: Adamawa
Duties
- Receive data from the field regularly to measure achievement against the performance indicators.
- Check data quality from different and implement the Activity M&E techniques and data management protocols.
- Store and maintain records of all data processing activities conducted in the Activity.
- Assure safekeeping of Activity data in line with organizational data storage policy.
- Assist in the development and/or finalization of the Activity Work Plan and keep it updated in accordance with Activity interventions and timeframes.
- Support the implementation and coordination of M&E activities according to M&E plan.
- Prepare data for technical reports including quarterly and annual reports on activities relating to Activity implementation.
- Ensure proper filing of M&E evidence and documents, including periodic uploading of data as required by the donor and IITA.
- Perform any other job-related task as may be assigned by the supervisor.

6.) Agribusiness Development Assistant
Location: Oyo
Duties
- Provide technical support in designing crop and livestock chain value development.
- Provide capacity-building support in the area of agribusiness plan development and establishment of agribusiness enterprises.
- Participate in the establishment, supervision, and management of all research and demonstration fields.
- Participate in the establishment, supervision, and management of field operations, cross-cutting various unit projects.
- Provide capacity-building support during training on crop production.
- Ensure timely capturing of relevant agronomic data, good curation of collected data, and timely delivery to supervisor.
- Provide administrative support in the area of agribusiness engagements and innovations, research, and project implementation.
