Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria has sympathised with the Abuja Muslim Forum (AMF), the Family, Friends, Colleagues and the NTA Family over the tragic and sudden demise of Mrs Salmat Idowu Sulaiman – a Principal Accountant with NTA Channel 5, Abuja.
Gatekeepers News reports that Salmat, who was on her way for duty, got involved in an accident that claimed her life on December 15th 2022.
As a Muslim, she was buried the same day in a Janazat ( Burial) Prayer which was well attended.
Salmat is survived by her husband and 4 children.
Muslim Media Watch, in a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Ibrahim Abdullahi, described the deceased as a ‘quiet, easy-going and kind woman.’
“In Islam, such a sudden and tragic death of a true believer in Allah is a sign of acceptance of such a person as a pious and forgiven servant of God, who would enter paradise. May Allah makes it so for our beloved Salmat.
“Death is sufficient as an admonition to ‘doubting Thomases’ in that no one knows when it will come, where it will come, the nature it would take and the place one will be finally buried! Therefore, when it occurs suddenly this way, wise men and women – young and old take this opportunity to ponder and reflect deeply by asking – supposing it is me, which way have I prepared to meet My Lord who in His Glorious Qur’an warned us against many things and enjoined on us many things? This part of the superiority of Allah over us! No matter what you are, He has hidden the answers to these questions for everybody!
“Death is Real – therefore we should be prepared daily as there will be no ‘second chance’ once we have departed.
“May Allah forgive Hajia Salmat Idowu Sulaiman of NTA and console all those she left behind…. Ameen,” Muslim Media Watch prayed.
