Police Evacuate Three Mutilated Bodies In Ibadan

Police have evacuated the mutilated bodies of three young men, who were gruesomely murdered by yet-to-be-identified persons in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

Gatekeepers News reports that the victims were killed in the early hours of Monday around Office Bus Stop, after World Oil petrol station on the new Ibadan-Oyo Expressway in the Akinyele Local Government Area of the state.

Oyo State Police Command noted that one of the bodies was beheaded, while vital organs were harvested from the remaining two.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, while confirming the evacuation, said it was done in the public interest.

Osifeso said, “Yes, the corpses have been evacuated this morning (Tuesday). It was done in the public interest, and public safety and to prevent the spread of an epidemic. An investigation has already commenced and updates will be provided accordingly.”

Reports revealed that an unpleasant odour had taken over the scene before the arrival of the police officers to evacuate the bodies.

A commercial driver, Abdulfatai AbdulGaniyu said, “I saw the…bodies of these people in the morning when I was carrying passengers from Ojoo to Toose today. The case looks like a ritual because one of them was beheaded.”

Another source, who wishes to stay anonymous told PUNCH Metro said, “Passengers who are looking for cheap prices, cheap buses are normally staying at that bus stop to board their vehicles to either Oyo, Ogbomoso, Ilorin and even Jebba. They cannot afford the fare at the Terminal, and that’s why they stay there. But this particular case is quite different because some of their vital organs were removed.”
