PHOTOS: Atiku And Obi Absent As Presidential Candidates Attend Peace Accord Meeting

The National Peace Committee (NPC) held a meeting with political parties to review their conducts and work towards maintaining peace ahead of the elections.

Gatekeepers News reports that Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, Presidential Candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) respectively were absent meeting held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja on Friday.

While Ifeanyi Okowa, PDP vice-Presidential Candidate and Governor of Delta, represented Atiku, nobody represented Obi.

Presidential Candidates present at the meeting includes; Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Omoyele Sowore of African Action Congress (AAC), and Kola Abiola of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP).

Also present were Matthew Kukah, Catholic bishop of Sokoto diocese; Muhammadu Abubakar, Sultan of Sokoto.

The meeting was presided by Abdulsalami Abubakar, a former Head of State.
