President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, met privately with the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Aminu Tambuwal and the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF), Atiku Bagudu over the scarcity of the naira notes.
Gatekeepers News reports that the meeting which took place at the President’s office at the State House, Abuja, the nation’s capital, also had the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele; the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa; as well as the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Lucky Irabor, in attendance.
Although, none of the participants of the meeting agreed to talk with reporters but it is believed that it was organised to discuss the cash swap policy which has been a major concern in the country.
