Network Of Ministerial Aides Congratulates Tinubu On Victory

Network of Ministerial Aides (NETMA), an association of all Special Advisers and Technical Assistants to Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has congratulated the President elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Gatekeepers News reports that this was disclosed in a letter addressed to Tinubu by the Special Assistant to the Hon Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Spokesperson Network of Ministerial Aides (NETMA), Philip Ugbodaga.

The letter read, “On behalf of the Network of Ministerial Aides (NETMA), an association of all Special Advisers and Technical Assistants to Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I wish to congratulate the President-elect His excellency, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Vice President-elect, His Excellency, Senator Kashim Shettima on your remarkable victory in the just concluded presidential election.

2. This victory, which is not only for our party but also for the great people of Nigeria further rekindles our hope that Nigeria has joined the ranks of countries amongst the comity of nations dedicated to advancement, growth, and development.

3. We salute your tenacity, audacity, sagacity, and political staying power that ensured your ascension to the highest office in the land sixteen years after the end of your outstanding tenure as the governor of Lagos State. Your victory is even more unique as it came exactly 30 years after Nigerians joyfully elected a same-faith ticket for the first time in our electoral history through the Abiola-Kingibe presidential run in 1993. This election has helped in no small way to demonstrate the resolve of Nigerians to completely expunge the dividing lines of ethnicity and religion from our polity, lines that have undermined our national integration, cohesion, and consequent development for many decades. The outcome of the election also solidifies the renaissance of a progressive Nigeria as paradigmatic for democratic transition in Africa.

4. We particularly rejoice at the certitude that the elections were conducted in a free, fair, and transparent manner despite the few isolated and failed attempts at disrupting the process in some voting units by enemies of our democracy. It is to the credit of President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR that a transition committee, already constituted, is proceeding smoothly in full consideration of the sovereign will of the people of Nigeria. We are convinced that under your leadership and your vast experience as a democrat, visionary, administrator per excellence, an astute manager of resources, our nation will be renewed to address the challenges that confront us.

5. During your campaigns across the length and breadth of the nation, your message of ‘Renewed Hope’ and opportunity for all resonated with our group, the Network of Ministerial Aides (NETMA) as it did with the entire Nigerian people. We all look up to you for a new direction as we move forward in the task of nation-building.

6. We applaud and pay compliments to everyone who worked hard to ensure that the election was peaceful and credible, including the chairman and staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the 18 political parties that participated in the election, the media, international and domestic observers as well as the members of civil society organizations amongst others.

7. We have faith that when your administration is sworn in on 29th May 2023, it will maintain its commitment to fostering a benignant environment for the accelerated economic growth and prosperity of our dear country by building on the transformational achievements of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR. We are also assured that as usual, you will consider merit and competence as the driving philosophy for the socioeconomic and political rejuvenation of our country.

8. Consequently, our members who serve as Special Advisers and Technical Assistants to Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the achievement of the goals and objectives of the present administration are available in any capacity you desire to contribute their quota in the execution of your agenda for the continued development of our dear nation.

9. I kindly request an opportunity for representatives of our group to pay a courtesy visit to you at your convenience in order to congratulate you as well as share a few thoughts with you as you prepare to hit the ground running. We know that your time is in high demand, so we will keep the visit short. Thank you in advance for the opportunity to meet with His Excellency, the Jagaban of the Universe.

10. Your Excellency, please accept my very best wishes and the assurances of my highest consideration.”
