If Offered Money Collect It And Vote Your Preferred Candidates – Buhari To Voters

President Muhammadu Buhari has asked voters to collect money from politicians if offered but must vote for the candidates of their choice.

Gatekeepers News reports that Buhari said this after casting his vote at polling unit 003, Sarkin Yara A in Daura, Katsina state, Northern Nigeria.

The governorship and house of assembly elections are taking place across the country today.

Buhari who spoke to journalists in Hausa and English said his administration has been discouraging every act of vote-buying and monetisation of politics in the country.

The President asked politicians involved in vote-buying and monetisation of politics to stop such acts.

He said, “If they (politicians) still give you money, collect, but vote for your preferred candidates.”

Buhari commended the electorate for their confidence in the All Progressive Congress (APC) during the presidential and national assembly elections conducted on February 25.

Gatekeepers News earlier reported that Buhari openly revealed his ballot with his thumbprint when he voted for Bola Tinubu, the candidate of the ruling party during the presidential election.

He, however, declined to openly display his ballot paper after voting his candidates in the governorship and house of assembly today.
