Early Life
Chidi was born 17 March 1972 to the family of Azubuike Mokeme Snr an insurance broker and Angelina Nwokolo a school teacher and administrator.
He hails from Oba in Idemili South LGA of Anambra State, South Eastern Nigeria.
He attended Salvation Army Primary School after which he proceeded to Federal Government College Minna, Niger State. Before proceeding to the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu for his OND and Yaba College of Technology where he obtained HND.
Chidi proudly speaks Hausa, Yoruba, and his native language, Igbo.
Career
Chidi Mokeme started his career as a commercial and fashion model in the late 80s and early 90s before ending up as an actor. His acting career started fully at the point when he was pursuing his Higher National Diploma (HND).
However, he featured in a popular TV reality series The Gulder Ultimate Search (GUC) which ran for eleven seasons from 2004-2014.
He has some film credits from the early 90s movies where he has some major first roles in Nollywood drama.
Chidi starred in movies which include: Abuja Connection (2003), Fire Dancer (2003), Omotara Johnson (2003), The Seed (2003), Back Drop (2005), Blood Battle (2005), Anini (2005), Saviour (2006), Last Kobo (2006), High Stake (2006), Crime Planner (2006), Boiling Point (2006), Who Will Tell The President (2007), Minority Tension (2007), Ultimate Warrior (2007), Critical (2008), 76 (2016), Akachi (2020), Entangle (2021), The Therapist (2021) and Shanty Town (2023).
Personal Life
From his previous relationship with Journalist Adia Ukoyen, Mokeme has a son Emem Daniel Kosisochukwu who was born on 14 June 1998.
In 2012, Mokeme got married to Dr. Jean Olumba who currently works as a doctor and pharmacist in the U.S. The couple has a son together named Noah Kosisochukwu Mokeme.
The actor launched his sex toys company in 2009.
