JUST IN: FG Declares Monday Public Holiday

Federal Government has declared May 29 work free to commemorate the inauguration of the president-elect.

Gatekeepers News reports that Rauf Aregbesola, Minister of interior, made the declaration on Friday.

Bola Tinubu, president-elect, and Kashim Shettima, vice president-elect, will be sworn in on May 29 and begin a new administration.

According to a statement by Shuaib Belgore, the ministry’s permanent secretary, Aregbesola called on Nigerians to continue to support and promote democracy through adherence to the rule of law and uphold all democratic institutions.
