Senator representing Edo North, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has congratulated Kayode Egbetokun on his appointment as Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP).
Gatekeepers News reports that Oshiomhole, in a statement by his chief media aide Victor Oshioke, expressed satisfaction and optimism over Egbetokun’s appointment.
The former Edo State Governor described Egbetokun as a thoroughbred cop, abreast with the internal security challenges of the country and well equipped with experience, courage and credibility to make a difference.
Oshiomhole further said, ” I heartily congratulate you on your meritorious appointment as Acting Inspector General of Police. Your elevation to this position is one more commendable step in the right direction to actualise the bold statement made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his inauguration speech that “Security shall be the top priority of our administration because neither prosperity nor justice can prevail amidst insecurity and violence.”
