Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, has assumed duty hours after the inauguration by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Gatekeepers News reports Tijani was among the 45 ministers sworn in by President Tinubu on Monday.
Speaking with the heads of agencies under the ministry, Tijani urged them to hit the ground running.
He committed to devising policies that will transform the sector.
He outlined his intention to build on the existing accomplishments within the ministry by fostering strong partnerships with key industry stakeholders.
Tijani assumed the role of Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, succeeding Prof. Isa Pantami.
Noteworthy agencies within the ministry include the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Galaxy Backbone, Nigerian Postal Service (NPS), National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), and Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited.
