Election Tribunal has affirmed the victory of Ireti Kingibe of the Labour Party (LP) as the winner of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Senate seat.
Ireti, the wife of the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babagana Kingibe confirmed this to Gatekeepers News.
She wrote, “Alhamdullah. I won my Election Tribunal Court Case. The Tribunal has affirmed my return as the elected Senator of the FCTSD…
“I will do good things with the seat.”
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared her as the winner of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Senate seat.
Ireti polled 202,175 votes to emerge the winner, while Philip Aduda of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came second with 100,544 votes.
Angulu Dobi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) placed third with 78,905 votes.
